I often wonder at
My heart
Such a crack in the wall
Of my defenses
Always getting caught
Behind enemy lines.
It's like a
Garden
Has its seasons
Endlessly repeated
Gratefully
Where I'm always weeding
Getting sunburned
Toiling endlessly.
If I didn't have a
Heart
I suppose I would
Be dead
And that would
Never do
I would miss the
Flowering times
And the fragrant lilt
On the scented breeze.
As Pauline said in a song: "I feel, I feel, I feel too much. But it's better than nothing."
ReplyDeleteNice one, George.
