But we live in modern times
Now
We have conquered the beast,
Believe no myths,
Even scoff at wisdom,
Patronize the past.

What will the future
Mock us about?
The polluted waters we
Left them to drink.
The GMO's we
Scattered in the wind while
Paving over farmlands.
Our mad scientists
Who marry the fish
With the tomato.
The garbage we pile high,
The poor we send our
Toxic waste to.

Don't get me wrong
I love the internet,
It gives freedom for
My words to cross the sky,
We are the best informed
Generation to become
Deformed.

We are the modern
Myths
With our own brands of
Ignorance.
We swallow earth's
Resources,
We
The curse of
Future
Modern times.
