Dance

Do you know
We are dancing together, unknown
In a swirl of light
Chopin with Jacques at the piano
Nocturnes into the air
Where spills the joyful sounds
And Chagall paints
His people in the sky
Tripping lightly above this
Limitation earth.
Together in the solar
System twirling on
Love's edge
The sky with joy
And we are dancing against
Time.

From eternity with angel sighs
All this on a rainy day
Afternoon in Lent.
Across the miles but so
Ever near.
Dancing on the waves
Of sound
Chopin's notes on the piano
Dance my soul
Dance
Flee the restraints
Of these present rains of time.
